Citation and open data requirements

Publications must provide a link in the manuscript to the CEDA RAMIP archive, as part of any “Data Availability” section.

Publications must include a table listing the models and institutions that provided model output for RAMIP. Please include the data version to the given citation information in form of:

Authors/Data Creators (publication year): Title. Centre for Environmental Data Analysis. DOI.

(e.g. Swart et al. (2019): CCCma CanESM5 model output prepared for CMIP6 ScenarioMIP. Version 20190429. Earth System Grid Federation. https://doi.org/10.22033/ESGF/CMIP6.1317.)

Where CEDA is the data publisher and the DOI points to the data citation landing page. The date of publication to use is the one given in the citation as this is the date the DOI was assigned to the dataset and thus the data are then fixed.

Publications must also cite a core RAMIP description paper. Currently this is the GMD documentation paper:

Wilcox et al. 2023 https://gmd.copernicus.org/preprints/gmd-2022-249/ (In discussion.)

For journals that require full access to datasets used, we allow the republication of any single- or multi-model fields used in the analysis in public repositories. Such repositories must include a link to this Data Access Policy.
